Zero Two Digital is currently recruiting for a talented PR and Content Executive to work across a number of B2B and B2C accounts covering both product and service offerings. We live and breathe everything marketing and we expect you to be passionate about content and driving results for our clients.

As a PR and Content Executive, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the brand image of our clients by driving engagement and expanding their online presence. You will be responsible for creating high-quality content across a range of channels as well as managing public relations.

Zero Two Digital are a small but fast growing and ambitious agency. We’re looking for a PR and Content Executive to join the team and make a big difference. Key responsibilities:

  • Research, plan and create a schedule of activity for each client and campaign.
  • Develop engaging and informative content, including case studies, website copy, press releases, award entries, social posts, blogs and copy for printed collateral.
  • Follow SEO best practices to ensure that all digital content is optimised.
  • Build and maintain relationships with relevant journalists and publications.
  • Draft and distribute press releases to secure coverage.
  • Monitor media coverage and prepare reports on results.
  • Conduct video calls for research and content gathering.
  • Attend client meetings where necessary.
Experience & Skills Required
  • 2+ years experience in a content creation, public relations or similar role.
  • Excellent writing and content creation skills.
  • Experience in writing content for a range of different channels.
  • Broad understanding of digital platforms, channels and content opportunities.
  • Strong knowledge of SEO and content marketing best practices.
  • Willingness to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to form excellent working relationships with clients and key media contacts.
  • Experience of managing social accounts is advantageous.
  • Experience of Wordpress is advantageous.

Details:

  • Salary of £27,000 - £32,000 depending on experience.
  • Full time, permanent role, with a part time option available.
  • 25 days holiday entitlement plus bank holidays.
  • Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm.
  • Reporting to the Marketing Director.
  • Office based in Hinckley, Leicestershire.
  • Free on-site parking.

Senior WordPress Developer

Job description

We are looking for a passionate and experienced senior WordPress developer to work alongside our lead developer to build bespoke themes for a range of different clients. This will be a fully remote position, however it will be necessary to attend meetings where required so it is important that you reside in the UK and are within driving distance of the Birmingham area.

We are looking for someone who can tackle any bespoke project with ease and positivity. If you build sites that rely on themes and plugins, this position is not for you.

Salary Range: £30,000 - £40,000 (depending on experience)

Core responsibilities

Your core responsibilities will include:

  • Working on a wide range of client projects on the WordPress CMS platform, including bespoke theme builds, site migrations, plugins and Gutenberg block development.
  • Develop bespoke themes from our teams UI designs in line with our client’s requirements.
  • Collaborate with our design team to review and give feedback on existing designs.
  • Work with our lead WP developer who will be there to offer support to help you grow and learn.
  • Continue to learn about best practice WordPress development and expand your knowledge through various learning techniques.
  • Suggest solutions to, and fix client bugs when raised on the support desk.
Technical experience
  • A modern approach to development including knowledge of JavaScript ES6/2015 and React.
  • Essential skills in HTML5, CSS3, PHP.
  • LAMP (bonus).
  • Experience in using Git and GitHub, package managers and virtual machines for browser testing.
  • Knowledge with version control (Git).
  • Experience in working in an agency, circa 3-4 yrs + or equivalent
  • Knowledge of other CMS solutions a bonus.
  • The ability to solve problems and propose solutions.
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to speak to your colleagues and clients when necessary.
  • A strong work ethic and passion for development.
